For the first time in months I’m without my Mac and I feel super lost. It’s one really lousy feeling and I’m going to take a week before I get my Mac back.

Anyway, I’m going to hve to depend on my nifty little iPod Touch to last me as my computer of choice for the next few days. In any case, it’s beautiful.

Now to go back to watching my Criminal Minds. (:

I have an iPod Touch and I’m using it to write this blog entry! If this works it would be really cool. If not, it’d have flopped for the second time and that would not be cool.

Of Macs and 30 Rock

Today, on a whim, I decided to experiment with the Mac OS X. I clicked on every single icon on the desktop and watched them all jump up and down to high heaven. Then they slowly loaded and one by one the little blue dots came on at the bottom. Note in the 4th space, there’s an episode of 30 Rock playing – it did not lag, or drop a frame the entire time. (:

This is why I love my Mac. It can run every one of my most used programs, and a movie playing in the background did not lag at all. On Windows, the thing would have lagged till the end of time. Steve is the best computer I’ve ever had.

Oh, and I was running on battery power. Amazing stuff isn’t it.

Happy Lunar New Year

This was a rather pleasant Lunar New Year. I spent it taking a physical timeout from all the bustle and just spent time talking with family. I was rather good. This bouquet here was shot at my Aunt’s house. I thought the color and the firecracker really played up the mood of the season. Yet, there is something about this new year. It’s not as friendly nor as vibrant as new year’s of old. Maybe its the economic crisis, maybe its the fact that I’m getting older. There’s just no excitement anymore. The days seem to plod along slowly, moving, but slowly. I wonder.

I bought a new book today. The Best I Could – by Subhas Anadan. It’s a very promising book that talks about his law career. I find the best way to live vicariously, is through the lives of other people, so this promises to be enticing. I wanted to blog about Windows 7, because I just downloaded the Beta, but then Boot Camp is extremely unfriendly today so I’m just stuck with talking about the new year. Maybe when I do get it up and running, there can be screenshots.

In any case, I need a happier outlook on life. Things seems to be… lifeless at the moment. It’s worrying.

Happy New Year to you too.
